MARY MCGINNIS BLACKBURN - JOURNALISM/MEDIA
While still in college, Mary was selected Miss New Jersey 1979-80. Her journalism career began at WMGM-TV 40 and she later served on the Miss America Organization Executive Team, managing and directing Miss America’s Year of Service via such issues as Homelessness, AIDS Awareness and character Education. She worked on a national level from small town America to the Oval Office
CHARISSE FIZER - MEDICINE/HEALTH
Charisse Fizer MSN, RN, FACHE is the chief diversity, equity and inclusion Officer and Vice President of Clinical Services at Atlanticare. She belongs to the Links, Incorporated and is a Diamond Life member of Delta, Sigma Theta sorority and Deaconess at Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Pleasantville. She participated in Executive Sleep Out support homeless youth at Atlantic City’s Covenant House and worked to get marginalized community members vaccinated during the early days of the pandemic.
THERESA MCGANNEY-GUY - EDUCATION
A teacher and now Principal of North Main Street School, Theresa has a commitment and vision for innovative ways to help students reach their full potential through the use of technology. She has received several achievement awards and was awarded the Model Classroom Grant, partnering with Stockton University to improve literacy in the classroom.
MARTHA "MARTY" MOSKOWITZ- PHILANTHROPY
Marty has been involved in charity work all her life. An original member and past president of Ruth Newman Shapiro Cancer & Heart Fund, she was also involved in Gilda’s Club South Jersey and is a current Board Member and Secretary of the Margate City Public Library.
MARYAM SARHAN - VOLUNTEERISM
Maryam Sarhan’s volunteerism began in high school and, later, at Stockton University, she became the first Muslim and Arab American to become Student Government President and Student Trustee. Her volunteerism brought recognition from President Clinton and President Biden. She assisted in food distribution during the pandemic and is a passionate educator and mentor working in the Atlantic City and Pleasantville School Districts.
